Click Arc rotate, you find it down to the right, and press and drag _inside_ the circle.
When you have an item selected, by default you have these arrows (in the screenie)coming off it, which highlight by mouseover, handily restricting you to one axis when you move/rotate/scale, instead of having to select an axis on the toolbar. Somehow though I've managed to turn it off, and would dearly like to know how to get it back, as I have no idea what I did to lose it in the first place. Any ideas?
edit: Never mind, I solved it myself. Again.
