<div class="IPBDescription">help plz</div> All of a sudden the text that displays at certain websites, about 70% i visit have huge blocky text. this has never happened before and its really **** me off.

    Make sure you haven't changed the default text size in IE... Its in View -> Text Size.

    I have this problem as well, if you right click on a page and goto Encoding it should say "User-Defined" (its default)

    But at seemingly random times it changes to some UGLY font, making most pages and forums look horrid

    I don't know, but from what I have observed, it sometimes happens if a page will load, but <i>extremely</i> slowly. That means if a server is responding but uploading data to my computer so slowly, the text will change to the blocky one...     I had this exact problem for a while and I asked about it on another forum and that's what they told me and it worked. But like you I have no idea how it got to like that in the first place.

    'Nother microsoft bug, I think, My old computer used to do it too (running windows 98) and this one does too (XP).

    In Opera, if anyone is using it, to change the font size you hold down ctrl and move the mousewheel.

    Same thing in IE.

    I press ctrl + scroll the mouse wheel. It changes the zoom.

    I think I know what happened, CTRL+Scrolling the Mouse Wheel in IE changes the font size, you prolly just did that by accident.

    EDIT: Crap, did didn't read the other posts <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->.
