Agibs.mdl

<div class="IPBDescription">Don't ignore it this time =\</div>I asked before but no one responded, so I will ask again.

I am not the only person to receive the error that 'agibs.mdl' is not consistent when I attempt to join a server with mp_consistency enabled. I, and no one else that I know of actually has an agibs.mdl on their computer, yet NS only seems to reject me and a few others. I've reinstalled half life and Natural Selection several times, as well as formatted.

I need a solution, I'm a referee for GameArena in Australia and I need to be able to get into servers with consistency enabled instead of having to disable it every time I ref a game. That leaves the game open for illegal models.

Please could someone tell me what is wrong?

    I think mdl consistancy is stupit for NS, we cant use our custom models. As for your question I have no idea...

    Spin, that was a worthless post, ty <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    As for this, could you give us the path to said model? (It should say xxx/xxx/xxx/agibs.mdl is inconsistant type thing)

    Also:
    Have you tried a nice little reinstall (Full HL and NS)

    And As a note:
    If we ignore your thread it is probably b/c we have no clue how to help you (we generaly only respond when we get an Idea, and I have not checked this forum in a few weeks <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)

    okay it claims that the file /NS/models/agibs.mdl is inconsistent, but no one I know of has this file... I've tried reinstalling NS, reinstalling HL, and I think I had the problem before my last format as well. It's kinda annoying to have to get people to disable consistency for me :(

    it may be the server, try another server or get the file from someone else

    Try this..
    Remove or rename the file.. the server should then send you the file you need, like it does with maps.
    I know there was a bug with consistency, but I can't remember what it was or how to fix it.. you can try installing the server patch to your NS directory

    hmmmm

    Yah, DevNull, that was the fix back in 1.*

    Doing a quick search of my HDD to see if agibs.mdl exists ANYwhere on my comp... It don't

    I am guessing that this only happens on 1 or 2 servers?

    Suggestion:
    Download and use <a href='http://www.udpsoft.com/eye2/index.html' target='_blank'>ASE</a>

    Create a filter with this as the code:
    1 if mp_consistency != "0" remove
    2 if mp_version == "v2.01*" goto 4
    3 remove

    That will make a filter that filters file consistancy servers and anything that is not 2.01 <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    That doesn't help me, I need to be able to log into servers with mp_consistency enabled to referee wars. Also, I can't delete agibs.mdl because it doesn't seem to exist in the /NS/Models directory where NS claims it should be. A quick check with 3 other people that can get into consistency enabled servers confirms that agibs.mdl doesn't seem to exist. I've downloaded NS from 2 different sources and I still get the same error.

    It's getting pretty annoying to have to disable consistency, because like I said before, it leaves the server open for illegal models.

    If someone could help me with a solution I'd be extremely grateful :)

    I've seen that file before in my dod directory but while i can find lots of people mentioning it on the internet I cant find a download for it, nor can I find on my computer, my suggestion is you check that the server doesnt have that file on it?

    I would also see if anyone else if having problems connecting to just that server, I'm starting to think that its a server problem rather than a client problem.

    Try putting this file in your ns/models directory. It will be included in the installation for 2.1.

    it didn't work, still says inconsistent, I don't suppose you know another consistency enabled server I could attempt to connect to?

    Anyone know another consistency enabled server I could test it on?
