Old Ns Maps Ever Coming Back?

Nancy was lost in a HD crash. It had several critical problems with the 2.0 code, so it was pulled. The mapper left the community short after making the map, so he didn't remake it. A bunch of dedicated mappers pulled together and remade the map from scratch, based only on analyzing old version. It was completed a couple weeks ago and was sent to Flayra, should he want to test it for 2.1. Currently, the way PTing is going, its unlikely it will see a 2.1 release, though 2.2 is probable, assuming the map plays as well as it did in 1.04.
It is possible but as far as I understand the problem there would be too many bugs with this. Or you couldn't change that data anymore so you can't make it 2.1 compatible.

Devildog mapped Nancy. He's moved on to making some new maps for the NS team, it's the creator of Bast that left the community due to so many anal retentive people saying that bast was the crappest map ever because of a few problems in alien-marine balance (otherwise Bast is the most atmospheric map NS has).
A custom decompiler was also set going for the remake team to work off and get more accurate results.
Currently they've only changed a few minor things, to my knowledge, they've connected up all the vent systems and they've fixed port somewhat to allow easier onos movement. Otherwise nancy will be coming back as you knew and loved it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Actually.. No. They haven't connected the vent systems to my knowledge... but I will boot up the first beta of it if needed to prove so. I can distinctly remember DevilDog saying something about how he had planned 3 systems from the beginning, allowing for you to get from point a to b, but not c and so on. I don't think that lazer would change that plan. most of vents have been widened and there is a new "vent room" around the port area.
Port itelf was widened and now has a raised hive. Although currently it feels quite empty, but that is of course subject to change. Now, there have also been some bugs with it. An overly high ent count and some jags of high R_speeds have kept it out of 2.1 playtesting so far, but the recreation team is working on that. There has also been numerous changes in Architexture, lighting and textures. But then again.. all the other maps went through changes from 1.0x to 2.x, Nancy deserves the same
