to a networking computer thread....
Earlier in the day from work I was glancing at the forums and saw a thread somewhere that stated something to the effect that you can get a performance boost if you set it up as a network computer, or some such thing...involved going into my computer so on and so forth. So i think, "great! I'll do that when i get home!" but lo and behold, I cannot find the thread after 20 minutes of searching...Anyone have the foggiest idea what i'm talking about?

Uhm, I don't know about the thread you're talking about, but could it possibly be about setting the 'Typical role' in 'File System' as a 'Network server'?

To get there you would do Start-->Settings-->Control Panel-->System-->Performance-->File System
Once there, select 'Network server' under 'Typical role of this computer'.

This is very standard stuff though, so I could be wrong.

    Search Readyroom.org.

MonsE tells you how. With his typical MonsE angst.
