Just simply tried to get onto IRC today and i got this. So i ran a virus scan and it picked nothing up. So how do i fix the thing?

Well actually, now that I look at it, you are K-lined, and I think that means you can't get onto gamesnet at all because you are banned. Go on the gamesnet website, go to the forums, and talk to them about it if you have no reason to be k-lined.

Edit: Now that I look at it *again* I see something I didn't know before. The host has a trojan, so try a western server.

Use a different Gamesnet server, if you used to connect on East, connect to West. It might work, though I've never been K-Lined from Gamesnet...

It looks like you have a trojan that is messing w/port 6667 <a href='http://download.com.com/3000-2085-10062969.html?part=65960%20&subj=dlpage&tag=button' target='_blank'>Download</a> this program called active ports, it will show every exe communicating over the network- btw its freeware. close out all your irc programs and see which programs are accessing ports 6665-7003 (i think those are the irc ports) if you find some wierd looking exe files connecting to those ports then you've found the culprit, terminate the process and try deleting it. This should cure the problem w/irc, you may have to wait a little while till your k-line resets so it might not work right away.

Download <a href='http://www.swatit.org/' target='_blank'>SwatIt</a> clean your computer and then go tell them you've done that on the forums. That should help your case.

In case you hadn't realised by now there is in fact a trojan virus on your computer called GT-Bot which is used for mass DDoSing of servers etc, SwatIt shouldremove this aforementioned trojan therefore giving gamesnet staff no reason to k-line you again <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

The way i understand it, K-Lined is banned from one specific server of the whole... server thing, whereas G-Lined is banned from the whole thing.

For instance, for some reason i am K-Lined from the quakenet USA server, but i can connect through any others (i think it's because i'm in UK and such)

He just has to do a virus scan, and it will fix the problem, is a trojan that affects irc and basically doesn't allow you to connect. Once you purge the trojan, you will be able to connect again.

if you ran a virus scan and didn't pick anything up, update it for one

and do swatit, you were probably K-lined becuause of the trojan no your computer, so removing it and telling them that you did will help alot
