<div class="IPBDescription">I've Heard it (Thanks to AOL)</div> Well, being I'm the resident "Guy who likes every genre of music on the planet", and that I've heard the CD a day before it comes out(it comes out 18th, AOL has TONS of special music stuff to hear it in advance, sometimes WEEKS, and not just popular groups either)

The first half of the CD is....bad. Just bad. The first song is servicable(the already released song, with Madonna).

Then, with "Its Only Your Shadow", it suddenly gets GREAT. I mean, WONDERFUL. Its only 20 minutes of greatness(CD time- 50:27), but it gets GREAT. Truly good.

Also, while I like pop too, I know many of you hate it, and you'll be glad to know- not one song sounds "poppy". There is Reggae, rave, techno, orchestral, epic, tons of stuff, but NO teeny-bopper stuff(and when there is, its 5 second long bursts of it, but not enough to drag the song down).

Sadly though, almost all the song is about either Dancing, Sex, or getting ready for sex, and while I don't like that(christianity rocks), some may and some may not.

CD Ranking- 68%
Highs: Last 20 Minutes. Truly Good, Hardcore, MUSIC.
Lows: The first half-hour. Yuck, no pop stuff, but just...not good. Too tribal when their trying to have a certain sound to the songs, then hit tribal.

-edit- And just to make sure you know, the last song is a remix of the current single(first song on cd), and its DAMNED good. On my playlist now, its GOOD. GREAT.

The problem that I have with most music nowadays, or at least that of the "TRL" type, is that I personally can't classify it as music. Its all too manufactured. Most "artists" only input on it is their voice and name on the album, other than that there isn't much that they do anymore. Even if artists do play their own instruments, a lot of time its covered up by TONS of synthetic sounds (As much as I like Evanescence, they are a victim of this, just listen to stuff from Origin or from their self-titled album, you'll... hear what I mean). But don't get me wrong, there are a few bands and solo artists in the "TRL" crowd who I do respect, despite them falling into the mentioned categories, simply because of how they sound. I should just stop talking now. Stop reading. Otto is an idiot. Forget what you just read.

Britney Spears isn't the kind of music you actually listen to. It's just a filter or for dancing. Or...you know...watching videos.

I wonder what happens to the people that play all the music.

If this album is so great, sorry, it's the people that get tiny little credits that deserve all the praise, not the icon shoved down your throats.

Thats something i don't get, why does someone get all the fame and credit for something she didn't play, write and barely perform? Yes, ok, i can admit that some people just don't want the fame (I know several session musicians that do it just for the sake of doing it, not to get famous), but it must be just downright insulting to have someone take credit for all your hard work.

I'd prefer if she went ahead and admitted she's got no talent as a singer and became either a model or pop dance music video specialist. It's obvious she enjoys with doing all three enough, and she might as well move into what she's better at...

Well, first of all, she's hot. I just had to get that out of the way. Now, I watched that "In the Zone" thing on ABC and I was surprised that the songs didn't sound like pop music. So Quaunaut is right about that. So I actually thought the songs were ok (since I don't like pop music). One of the songs she even said that she wrote herself 2 years ago (and she said it's the only song she wrote). It had a piano playing, and she actually sang. She has a pretty good voice if she actually sings. But what Britney's kind of music is good for along with rap music (since I also don't care for this type) is dancing.

Getting paid is a reletive term, a hat full of quarters is still TECHNICALLY getting paid, so I don;t think it would be that hard to act stupid in public and get paid, street weirdo: job for the new millenium!
