<div class="IPBDescription">...as in...unique.</div> From that one Shask guy's thread, I figured, hey, why take riddles from places like riddles.com when they're incredibly easy to make. Granted, these are from my NWN module, but I never released (or finished) it, so that doesn't much matter because it was mine, does it?
Remember, you make them yourself, you don't take them from riddles.com or from Tolkien, because everyone knows the white horse on a red hill, and the treasure chest is an egg riddles. Be creative for once, make you're own.
Remember to try and use cohesive language to link your riddle together; as in, make sure you're using the right kind of word, otherwise you're overly misleading and no one is going to come up with the answer to your riddle that you planned on. Also note that puns and vagueness can be used effectively, you just have to use them right.
So, without further ado, my riddles (feel free to point out problems with them):
1.
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->I have three hands but only one face.
I can live almost any place.
Counting's my job and my work.
Although, I'm not a clerk,
Because what I count doesn't take up space.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
2.
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Many men search for me.
Some I make happy.
Others are at a loss.
When all they find is my dross.
I adorn wrists and necks,
and many men can I vex,
but I'm sure you know what I am.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
(original was much longer, but unfortunately I have no idea where it is)
3.
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Living and Dieing, yet unbreathing and not crying.
I can be killed by bandits and thieves,
but when I die only a merchant grieves.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
4.
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Where I stand, nothing else can be.
there is nothing else to see,
my color is clear;
there is nothing to hear,
my sound is empty;
Where I am not, can also be me.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
(had to edit it, because it made no sense...it still doesn't make sense but it's still really easy)
[Answers to be posted later, after reading Sirus' post, perhaps it's more fun to guess]

I believe the mathematical symbol is i ...or maybe it was e....it was a long time ago.
i^2= -1 (but that's theoretical mathematics and has no real world equivalent)

Time.
But only to an Englishman
is my first name deceiving
of what I truly am
I scorch those who touch me

And that is what brings them all
to crave more of me
and so they continue
to feel my wrath diminished
with every subsequent encounter

Your answer's much more interesting though.
