We say Missile as well. By the way, English isn't an original language per se. It's actually an culmination of Latin, Greek, and other roots and suffixes. For example, Missile is based on the latin root miss, which means "To send," and the latin suffix -ile, which means "Having to do with." Research helps, eh?
