2 Rather Major Bugs I Have

1.I don't have a crossheir
2.I can't use any weapon expect my primary, even if it can be used

This makes it preaty hard to play....
I'm running NS in steam
Using CS retail

blech: cs retail (so many bugs, but these probably are not related)

1)
A) make sure you are running in OGL video mode (D3D tends to mess up and Software is NOT suported by NS)
B) Reinstall
C) Still not working? Give us system specs

2)
A) Remove your config.cfg and just run NS, it will reasign all of the default keys, see if that fixes it.
B> if still it doth not worketh come back and reporteth

Er, maybe not fixed. And another bug I have(I had it before but didn't ask)
1.I can't say anything, even though when I hit y, it comes up with the say screen. If I type something and hit enter, nothing happens.
2.I can switch weapons as marines by using the switch weapon command in the pop up window, but I can't switch as alien.

if ur using a diffrent Steam skin than the default u cant see other peoples writing or your own sometimes.
but whne u type people see it just....you dont...or anyone elses.

I use the defualt steam skin, and I can see others text. I have tried asking if they could hear me, no one said anything.

Definitely not the card that seems to be the problem. I am at a loss. Only suggestion is to nuke your ns-dir. Completely delete it, and try a reinstall.

I did it 5 times.....
The second time got me my crossheir, when I did it again I lost it
Oh wait, I did a PGP wipe and reinstalled, and I got the corssheir back. Still can't talk

Everythings fixed!
I downloaded the beta steam install and everything works. Maybe it was a bad download in the first place, or maybe steam. Oh well, it works now.
