<div class="IPBDescription">Freezes when I click "Internet Games"</div> I'm a diehard WON fan - I will NEVER use Steam. Never.
So, one day I was in the NS-mood, so I fired up Half-Life, booted up NS, and was about to head out for some Skulk-smashing fun when...
...Bloody WON froze on me! When I clicked "Internet games" in the multiplayer section of NS, it just froze my whole computer for no apparent reason. This is the first time it has done this - and it doesn't really want to stop, now. - Freezes everytime.
Has anybody else encountered this problem?
Thanks in advance, and thanks for your time,
-Sid

Why God, why?!
Latest version of ZoneAlarm has problems with how HL-based games (and StarCraft) connects to the internet, and hangs the programs.
Maybe it's asking for permission and you just can't see the dialog.
Try adding HL.exe to the list of programs and give it normal (and server!) access.
(had this problem with Steam NS, haven't tried it with 'normal' hl though..)

Latest version of ZoneAlarm requires that it is completely shut down, not just program control off.
As long as it is running, no matter what security settings, HL will continue to freeze when you try to go online.
It seems, that there is a bug or some sort of mistake in latest ZA code that keeps those games from going online...
(come to think of it, I haven't upgraded to the newest version yet..)
Bloody ZA...
