first about 3.0
i know it is going to steam pretty soon, but, will we be able to download it the normal way aswell as steam? i just as k this as my steam crashes alot when i try to update my games <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
also, will we have to download all of the game, or if u have a version of ns already in steam, will it update it from that point? if yes will u have to move the folder?
if your a speed freak and like to jump aronud etc, using close up attacks, whats a good class to be?
btw, am new to this game, hope to get playin yas soon =)
hope my decent aim i got from playin cs,dod,tfc,hl etc will help =)

and if you like to jump around, bite and just generally annoy people, skulk is the way to go =)

You'll have to redownload the entire game, its a client update as well as a server update. It should overwrite your current NS 2.0, though it will probably give you the option to save those files intact, just like 1.04 did.
Speed freak = skulk.

AFAIK, Natural Selection 3.0 will be Steam Only, as WON will be taken down relativly soon. (aka, sometime in the next 5 years <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)
If you Steam is crashing alot while updating games, try closing all the extra crap you have running.
3.0 will be a downloadable Steam Client Install, much like the beta. It should be a full download as well, no update. However from that point onward, the hoped for scenario will be updates through Steam. No Folder Moving will be required once it is installed.
Speed Freak/Up Close Attacks? Then I guess you should play Kharaa. Thats why they are all about. Obviously Skulk.
No more 3rd party mod crap, you will find NS under MY GAMES.
Its a full DL, about 160-180MBs most likely (we all had to do a fresh DL of a 2.1 build and it was at 156MBs or something like that.)
I was able to DL it in about 5 mins (500+kbs BB cable).
Steam works great, don't run other programs in the BG.
