Spinning Holocron

how can i make something like a spinning holocron like in ns_hera and ns_origin[fade and lerk]? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    They are made with models, check in you ns model directory and you will find holo_base.mdl ( the base), holo_light.mdl ( the light) and either the hera logo in the hera folder named holo_hera.mdl, or the two models in the origin folder. To get them into your map you need to add cycler entities and use the models mentioned above. The light model and probably the logo/alien model have to be additive. Good luck.

    i was looking to put the globe wad as a spinning holocron though. theres no way to do that?

    Since I can't find a texture named globe in any of my wads, I'll assume it is a picture of the world. Just make a sphere and make it a func_rotating and set the origin brush in the middle, next make it additive, and then there you go. Also add the models of the base and light to add the effect that it is a hologram.

    I think that it's a model, take a look in the HL pak file...
