goodbye
mmkay, I think when people start making posts like " Uhmkey, how about this kid can grow up a couple years untill his words are atleast valid, instead of this useless ego rising stuff, mmkey? " to show others how mature and adult they are, it is time to remove my post. Does this thread look like a good place to enlarge thy e-****? noooooo.......

Hey, cool it.
I'm just stating a simple point in the best manner. And that is a flat out/blunt manner. Sometimes that is the best way to deal with things even though it may make you look like an A-hole.

silverax:You're exactly the kind of person I'm talking about. Would you really be posting the same thing if you've never joined a clan and be playing competivly (sp!)?

Some find enjoyment out of a competative atmosphere wether they post the same things due to their status in or as a clan has no impact on how they entertain themselves.
I wouldnt try to keep this game in moderation if you truly believe you wont be able to define the boundrys. Better to just get rid of it as a whole imo. You really dont HAVE to learn moderation although its a usefull skill in different situations.

You may not have realized this Last, but my post was a joke. I'm just laughing at the whole situation (Eightball, NSDraft, everything). It is such a ridiculous mess you can't NOT laugh at it.

I officially name you leader of eightball, have fun.
But if it is a genuine wish to reconcile, then more power to you and I'd be glad to have you back in the NS community.
Awesome...wait, there's no  emoticon on this board. I'm not cut out for leadership, hell, I rack my nerves just trying to command anymore.
I play for the ATI cards. =)
thanks roq, i'd play for the cards too if my computer had an agp slot...
Her name is Utada Hikaru, really popular Japanese pop singer. I can't wait until I move to Japan (2 more years )

Be nice. I'v spent most of my life helping people and to be honest people like you should keep your thoughts to yourself. No matter how you justify it, your negative comments are in no way contructive or helpful to anyone.
Foul Beast, most of what the people here have said is true. Time management is key. I can honestly say that you are not alone. The University of Calgary has an entire addiction services team to help with gaming additions. You figured it out youself, some people truly lose everything before they cut back on their gaming.
Get your school under control, NS will be here if you come back.
Games and life can be hard to balance at times. I was worried about my exams somewhat. It was only a week before them that I actually realised that I was having my final exams, then it was burning the midnight oil till 4 AM, sleeping till 9, then hitting the books at 10 until 4 AM again.
At the end of my exams, I rewarded myself with a boatload of NS.
Past times arent habits. Playing NS is not as bad as say, Smoking. Most things in moderation can be good.
Failing an exam or some kind of pivotal assesment task means that you havent studied enough. It simply means to cut down on certain things, not cut them out altogether. Keep cutting down until you've reached a marking level that your happy with. If in the end you find you need to cut NS altogether to secure your future, then by all means do so.
Dealing with the hole it leaves will be tough though. Try to find a substitute, something as fun but less addictive. Chess is in fact quite fun no matter what the jocks say. You still need something to take the edge off life sometimes, NS does that remarkably (cept when you get a bad game =\), but so do other forms of entertainment.
Good luck and take care of yourself. Hopefully you can find what is best for you in your life.
@ Holocaust, Nice Av
btw Last... don't fool yourself into thinking you can escape Natural Selection.
You can't. If you stop playing NS for too long you're going to suffer from severe psychological troubles , guaranteed.
damn people take this game serious.....
too serious
if NS takes a too big place in your life, you better make priorities. if you cannot do that...dunno...try finding some other game, which is less competitive/less organised clanplay, the same fun, but not so addictive that it drains your social being
Aaanyway, I basically have to parrot what a lot of people here have said; moderation in all things should be the goal. Yeah, you played NS too much, and it affected your schooling. Naughty you, give yourself a slap on the back of the hand, and make up what you lost... but that's doesn't mean you have to cut NS out altogether. Just get your Mum to unplug the phone line for your computer, and only plug it back in when you've shown her you've done your homework/studying for the day. Problem solved.
(Or, y'know, you could rely on willpower. Heh.)
