I've PMed moderators before about locked topics, and it's never changed a damn thing, so I'm not wasting my time doing it again.
It's irritating as all hell that just because CWAG can say 'I think this discussion is done', Delarosa comes from out of the blue to close it.
Delarosa, just because one person thinks it's done doesn't mean it is. Unless you want me to start flamebaiting like CWAG did, summing it up on my own premises, and telling everyone else that I"m a higher authority on the subject and therefore I'm right, and you're all wrong, don't encourage that behavior, most certainly in the discussions forum, please. Until we're all 'finished' with the topic, it should stay open unless it's out of hand. I could've drawn that **** conclusion about 'we're free blah blah practice what you want' on my first post, but I didn't because that's not the damn point of discussions.
Anyway, before it got locked, I asked 'Why wolves'. I'm 100% convinced this is just like when you played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a kid. Someone replied with 'because they have deep mythological significance in many cultures'.
Now no one addressed this point of mine: If you spiritually like wolves because other cultures worship them, then you are commiting blasphemy, plain and simple. Declaring yourself a wolf, something cultures idolize and worship, then you're insulting them, no? It's the same as if I called myself the next Messiah.
Now one more thing that firmly cements my idea that this is just some mental children's game: Beast originally started with his reasons, he had a feeling, dreams, hallucinations, acid trips, anything like that, so he's fairly sure he's a wolf. Now that he's come here, I've noticed other people *cough* Smoke Nova *cough* almost getting JEALOUS and tacking that 'wolf' tag to themselves as well.
And that's not insulting to YOU, Beast? It could hardly be coincidence that 4, 5, 6 people on these boards have had the 'revelation' within one or two weeks of you, Beast.
A friend of mine is Whiccan- she's a witch. I knew she'd been practicing, I didn't care. A couple years ago, she started telling me about it. It was... interesting, to say the least. She showed me some reference material, told me a little about what Whiccan says about who I am, etc. I was getting really into it. It was pretty cool stuff: You performed Dagger Rituals, herbal remedies, crystal healing, all sorts of stuff like that.
Then I stepped back outside myself, and looked at the bigger picture. Was what I was getting into really something I was interested in, or was it just 'cool'? I concluded that there really was nothing in it that I coul attach myself to, and I was just interested because it was that: Interesting. Now I look back at the reasons why I liked it and I laugh at myself. I wasn't seeking any 'spiritual awareness' no matter how hard I justified it at the time.
When I told her this, she was fairly insulted, thinking I thought of her religion as a big joke. I explained it better to her and she understood. She was still resentful for a while, however.
Anyway, my point is that I have personal experience with this spiritual awakening. In this case, the awakening thing is getting so out of hand on these forums it's almost baffling that you can still take it seriously, or at least don't have your doubts about it: Dreams are REM: Spastic movements of the eye controlled (Or more realistically, uncontrolled) by seemingly random synaptic patterns. The brain is an organic piece of material: memories are stored in the hypothallamous and rear brain, all which decay, rot, and are gone forever upon death.
So summed up: I think this is just ****. This isn't some spiritual awakening, certainly not in the way it's suddenly sprung forth: I think it's a very strange way to guise your obsessesion with wolves.

It's probably best just to leave alone, U-235. I went throught a "spiritual" phase when I was a teen, but I got through it in the end. Just because it seems real doesn't mean you're not delusional. One of those things you just have to work out yourself.
Oh, by the way - someone replied to your question of "Why wolves?" with "Why not?". That probably means it is futile to take it much further.
Reading the wolfrival forums, reading the arguments here, reading what you pass for logic and reasoning ("Why Not".. haha I loved that one, Sid), you seem to be about only a couple things:
1) The spiritual enlightenment looks more like a sham then anything. No rituals, no worship, no higher diety, tell me, what possible bearing could something that you used to be, and are no longer, have on your current life? Usually people seeking spiritual enlightenment do it to find guidance. Sorry, wolves have no guidance: The sleep, kill, mate, rinse, repeat.
2) The main goals you push for is wolf supremacy over man. Weather your pulling arbitrary wolf population 'facts' from 3rd party websites while screaming that the US Wildlife Foundation or whatnot is completely wrong, or saying that killing wolves is justification for genocide of the human race... it's just downright wrong. If you hate humans that much, end your life now, more space for the rest of us mildly sane ones with some grip on reality.
3) The only thing I can ever see you 'sponsoring' is 'save the wolves: sign this useless petition.'
THAT is why I think it's foolish.

Lol, that's signature worthy
But sadly the situation is serious, they might end up killing a hunter.
If there is a group of people, or 1 person for that matter, who feels better about themselves and their life by believing they are wolves in human clothing and they aren't interfering with anyone else's life, what's the big deal?
I'm sensing a very large chip on the shoulder syndrome here. Please clarify.

Thats why it was locked origionally.
We all have had stuff we wanted to say after threads were locked, but we dont all open new ones a whine like little girls about it being locked. And to what purpose? To throw flames around like the quote above? When this thread gets locked, just keep your mouth shut like the rest of us or send a freaking PM.

Hardee har har. I think I'll get an avatar of a wolf with a big-assed bullseye on it.
