<div class="IPBDescription">minimal steam d/l?</div> hi, i dont know if this is the best furom for this question so feel free to move it..

Im tryin to get some clanners in Steam NS with me..
but the 379mb steam CounterStrike install is annoying as helll..
these people already have half life and cs etc..
so is there a way to just get steam but no caches?


oh btw, i heard ppl talkin about being able to buy CD-KEYS from valve for 10 dollars..
was this just rabid word of mouth on the pub servers or is this true?
cuase i took a gander @ valves site but no avail =( was hoping for some clanners who dont have HL to download steam and use a purchased CD key from valve.. if at all possible=/

download steam with the ricochet cache. It's 15 mb.

There's a small Steam installer, but it's about 30kb too big to attatch to this message.

It's 589kb, and called SteamInstall.exe.

You can get the steaminstaller from GameSpy but not from steampowered for some retarded reason.
