<div class="IPBDescription">What happened?</div>www.readyroom.org used to be updated almost daily, but now im lucky to see an update every 2 weeks, and half the time its just repeated what was said on ns.org.  so anyway, what is the reason for it being neglected?

I am gonna try not to get angry here. Monse is the PR guy right? right. Monse is also a valuable PTer, who provides a valuable view point, which flay needs to make the game good for you all. So . .its a weekend. That means he is VERRY busy. In addition to whatever he has to do in Real Life, Monse has got playtesting to do, and other stuff. Rest assured, Monse is always working on some new thing for you guys. Patience is a virtue. If there are less updates, then that means there is more playtesting and better things in the works or things which are more time consuming. Monsey isnt slacking. I am starting to get a wee bit tired of seeing posts in the forums about lack of updates. Beware, most will not be as calm as me. Get ready to be flamed to death.

MonsE is NEVER slacking.  You'll see just what he's been doing once NS releases... when you've got a dozen download mirrors and countless servers to play on.  He's been contacting download sites (like Fileplanet, but many others), server admins, news sites (like PlanetHL, but also RTS sites like www.warcraft.org)... you name it, he's doing it.  He's also the one who compiles the patches and installers for us Playtesters every week - sometimes 2 or 3 times a week.  Most of his work is behind the scenes, but when NS releases to lots of mirrors, lots of servers, and lots of press, you'll HOPEFULLY realize just how much MonsE has been doing.

Now lay the heck off!

the reason of sites not being updated is bcause they are working hard on the mods so it will be done quicker.. they are just wasting time on updating sites all the time!

And another thing, there really isn't much still being done to warrant an update.  For the most part, the new things in NS are balance changes.  I don't think a readyroom update saying "Well, this week we increased LMG damage from X to X+1 and decreased HMG damage from Y to Y-4.  Hopefully, this'll work out really well" would be a very interesting update.

Be patient, there will be some really important updates in the not too distant future.

Besides, so what if he was slacking? I dont believe he is, but if he were the dev team doesnt really owe anything to you, or any of us for that matter. They make this mod for free and using their own time. He doesnt get paid, so if he doesnt spend every single waking moment working on the mod, maybe its because he has other things to do that he deems more important.

Maybe some of you guys should try making a mod and see what its like since you have enough time to check for updates all day...

It seems like some of you forget that when your 28 years old, or however old MonsE is (:P) that you have a life outside of just the computer.  MonsE has a fiance, work almost everyday from what i've noticed, and he has to do things that a normal person whos living at that age would do.  The majority of it isn't using the computer for gaming and etc or so i see it.  However, the fact that MonsE dedicates almost all of his free time to helping provide for NS and everything on his OWN time which is limited i respect that extremely.  MonsE is a great guy whne it comes to helping out and such, i mean, hell, if i were in MonsE's situation i would really lay of NS some more i mean he spends tons and tons of time working with us.  These things you need to respect, you will understand when you have a job, have to pay bills, have a fiance and etc.  If anything he's NOT slacking.  Please understand that PR is tough and with limited time... it's even tougher.

If anything should come out of this, you should be thanking MonsE for all his hardwork on his own free time! Without MonsE you would have next to zero screenshots and information!

Never forget that the whole Dev team is doing this for you, free of charge.  They owe you all nothing, and to think otherwise is very self-centered.  It is out of the goodness of these guys, and people like them, that we have mods to stretch the life of a game so you end up only paying 50 bucks instead of 250.  With that, and since the questions been answered, let's just forget about this one.
