Not much but it looks sweet.
Behold my hallway! I wonder if those lights slow down the cpu... (yup, thats all 4 now but later i might just show you my door too)

That's absolutely spectacular. I think the texture on the floor could use a little work, and it'd be even better if you took the concrete supports at the end of the hallway and repeated them along the length of the hall a few times. Other than that, I think it looks fantastic.

Very nice job on the lighting there... very atmospheric. I wouldn't mind seeing some brighter spots of light here and there on the upper area of the hall, but you've done a great job regardless.
Suggestion: How about some sort of support system running along the ceiling? It looks good as-is, but it'd be even better with some sort of detail up there. Perhaps the occasional bar (fitting in shape with the ceiling) or support type thingy.
Very nice, docto.

Or, for a visual example... Perhaps a more detailed variation of something like this. And, of course, with a prettier support texture.

That is indeed quite a nice hallway, though I agree with Ken about the upper portion needing a little more occasional lighting and perhaps some extra detail.
doctopepa, what happened to the map you were working on a while back ... I don't remember much about it except is was very green.
It looks alot like the space station in NOLF, except for the lighting. In fact, if someone could recreate that station, but change it a bit, that would be really awesome.
I like your texture work, and those spotlights are cool. But yeah, the Half-Life floor texture sticks out.
Ken: Your ceiling support example might be bad for wall climbers, I can imagine it being pretty frustrating to navigate. My suggestion is to put texture lights on the ceiling where the concrete cuts across the pipes.
yes i agree with ken, the ceiling is too dark. some light spots would make it great!!! another thing. If you cut 1 of every 2 lightposts in the floor and add the ceiling ones, it will look really amazing, the contrast will ROCK!!

You are obviously quite talented, you should really try to make a masterpeice. Just with a few textures and a few lights, you created a beautiful, atmospheric hallway. I do hope you are making a full map of that quality.
thanx, i allmost feel like continuing. everybody here who maps know how much energy it takes
I've never made more than one (ok sometimes 2) room. I would like to do concept/mapping/texturing/planning/ in a team. If everybody works hard on their own detail we could end up with one hell of a map.
you better continue!!! arg, i almost feel like going to learn how to map just so i could have my name on a map with that hallway!!!!... maybe i will.....
Amazing work! I like the 2nd one more, with the 2 sets of pillars, but I agree with ken on the fact that you need some braces along the roof and that would really spice it up. The only thing I am a bit iffy about is the littlke green lights in the 2nd shot, they just don't seem to go well with the orange.
As for your working as a team on a map thing, it might be something interesting to try. I have some work done (no shots posted yet), so if you want to drop me a line (use PM at the bottom of this post), we can talk and see if it would work out.

Doctopepa, if that map ever gets released, I bet it will be one of my Favorite maps. Do NOT stop the music. Work on that baby like . . . . a baby. Good luck, dont get overly frustrated, and be sure to get that mappeh finished. I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere. Keep us updated.

good, clean brushwork and texturing. it certainly looks unique in its own right. i'd suggest making these areas a little bit brighter and add some height difference for later on.
