Release maps...

<div class="IPBDescription">Somewhat self explanatory...</div>I was just wondering what maps were going to come with the initial release... I've recently been looking at a lot of the map pics and I haven't heard which are in and which (if any) are not. Thanks

Hey, EM. So far there have been no announcements as to which levels are going to be officially included with the mod. People can speculate, but the only two that are labled as "official" so far are the levels from the actual dev team: Relic25's ns_bast, and Merkaba's ns_hera. I think it's safe to assume that the game will be released with a bit more than that, but we'll just have to wait for the official announcement before anyone can give you an for-sure answer.

There is quite a few maps that are being tested and played at the moment, whether they will be official maps is all up to the dev's.  Some of them include ns_nothing (ken20bank's map, you should have pimped, man. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->), ns_eclipse (KFS's brilliant map) and ns_caged.  (Manah's map.)  There is quite a few more that are being looked over so don't expect too small of a map release on release, there should be at least 5, in the best interest.

(for other information on maps, or these previous ones, search the forums for them or look at the RC6 changelog for other maps that are being tested.)

Yes, I was VERY much hoping bast and hera would be in there... Totally amazing looking... But some of the others looked very pleasing also. feh, IMHO, the deadline was to soon. The map submission should have ended around now or something.

Bah, it seems like 5 top quality maps would be around 45megs. Seriously
