2 more pix and thats it
ok - after these you're not gonna see anything for a while...

Remember the old pix of the storage room (the one that was flooded) - well here are the new pix...i know it's dark, but this is the first real "decent" into the base and it's just before the turbine room...so it will make the marines #### themselves i hope .

And back by popular demand...another 1MB divx movie of the storage room. Remember - no sound...and really crappy webcam quality .

Awesome lighting BM. I'm quite fond of the red in the first shot.

I think the best part of the clip was that door on the right at the very end. It looks wonderfully "decomposed."

I think that the architecture is great, and the lighting is great, execpt for one point: I think that the additive lighting of the monitors in the first picture is just far too much. The contrast seems too extreme, and it would seem that something that bright would at least be giving off some ambient light. But besides that, great work!

    lol - as for my rig...its a 1.1ghz, 576RAM, geforce2ultra. I run HL at 1280x960.

@greedo...good point - I'll make it appear like the monitors are giving off more ambient light near the computer console.

I like the length of cable or whatever it is hanging underneath the lift.

Man oh man. I almost missed this one.

The elevator in this is one of the best examples of a shared experience landmark I've seen in NS. The thing that really blew me away though was your subtle use of particles. I'm surprised no one else noticed it...actually, I didn't notice it until the 3rd viewing or so. Right before he gets in the elevator, you'll see some mist or dust motes rising up from the ground in front of the flickering light. Damn that's good!

lol - im impressed you noticed that flayra...actually though - thats a damn glich...The particle system is SUPPOSE to shoot out steam off the sides of the supports as it reaches the bottom floor...but go figure...absolutely NONE of my bloody particles are working...im starting to wonder whether it's really me or the version of the NSTR i have.
