Endgames In 3.0

Ok, as I'm sure most of us remember, when ns 2.0 came out, hideously long end games pretty much were the standard. Now, things have gotten better but I still see marines camped in a hive with dozens of turrets and gls holding out for a long while on a regular basis. Note, this really is only an issue on larger pub games of around 10v10 and more. What I was wondering is if this happens anymore in 3.0? Do endgames actually end quickly or can marines still sit in base spamming nades (from gl not the new nades which I have no idea how they work) for half an hour?

    I'd also be interested in the answer to this one.

    In theory it shouldn't be so bad with the new onos HP, but I don't know. I really don't want to go back to the 2.0 GL spam + 20 turrets endings. <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I LOVE games like that haha, cause it's so fun when you finally break through the lines via a vent and 20 xenociding skulks (last night haha) and rape them something awful. The feeling of success is unbeatable <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    In other words, I hope people are still able to do this. I mean where's the fun in such basic games? :\

    Well, if nozzles did run out, it shouldn't be a problem.
    Sure, it'd last a while for the one nozzle they have to run out, but at least it'd end eventually.

    If nozzles ran out, what would end up happening in a stalemate is skulks would face vanilla marines over and over again, a situation that is more condusive to stalemate than anything else.

    New onos should help things quite a bit. Of course, regular NS is horrible to test right now due to some server lag issues.

    no, vanilla skulks would face upgraded marines - once armour 3 is researched, it stays researched.

    I haven't run across any insanely long endgames, the longest taking at most 5-10 mins, in my experience.
