Grenades À La Enemy Territory?

<div class="IPBDescription">fuse...</div> For as far as I heard, the handgrenades(w00t!) are going to have a fuse of 4 seconds, in other words, they are useless for 70% of the map.
Now I wonder, is it possible for them to start the countdown as the nades in Wolfenstein: enemy territory?
The fuse starts running when you pressed fire so you can, with some timing, throw a killing-nade around the corner.

I dont mind the grenade, it give marines a chance to scare off or even kill that damn lerk in the vent sporing your base.
