1. Fix max ex_maxerrordistance errors and "reliable channel overflow" client crashes:
-create userconfig.cfg in half-life\ns and add alias "ex_maxerrordistance" ""
<make sure your \ns\config.cfg file contains exec userconfig.cfg>
How do I go about doing that? Through notepad? What's an "alias" anyhow?

This guys explanation was a wee bit better:
keep the userconfig.cfg line there and make a new text file called "userconfig.cfg" and put this in it:
alias "ex_maxerrordistance" ""
