What are the current CPU usage percentages for combat and 3.0

IM buying a new serever for 3.0 and just wondering. I have heard so many comments like the CPU usage has actually gone up

or in Combat the CPU usage is the same as the first 5 minutes in a 2.0 game. (low)

Anyone got facts, not speculation?

p2-400 64ram should do fine.

I'm fairly sure that's NOT going to be enough for an acceptable server.

for a nice 7v7 I'd go for a ~2Ghz P4 or 2000+ with 512 ram (NOTE that this is without any knowledge of setting up NS servers, especially in 3.0, but just looking around in 2.x) Don't forget the connection which is important as well.

ns3.0 cpu usage is still under tweakage i suspect.

Bull, it depends on your system specs, obviously a p3 900mhz <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> would use 100% cpu as where a duel xeon 2.7gig would be less.
But one would think that NS:C would use less enitities therefore use less CPU cuz thats what causes high cpu use is all the enities.

I can't say for sure, becuase each patch that comes out affects the cpu usage, it was really high, now its alot lower, so you will have to wait untill the release
