<div class="IPBDescription">My maps background</div>There once was an outpost on a frozen world known as Xt-6690. This outpost however, was a tragedy just waiting to happen... Xt-6690 was located on the far reaches of the unexplored areas of space. It was ment to be a place where ships exploring and patroling the outer sectors could get some RR, refuel, etc. But the ships only came around ever 2 years...
When they built this outpost they accidently created a meat grinder for all those stationed there for unknown to them it harbored in its core a mighty colony of aliens all controlled by a very versatile and intelligent overmind.
When they were attack one year they never knew what hit them... Hundreds upon hundreds of aliens swarmed into the barracks killing all who slept. They rushed into the control rooms and power generators destroying everything. After this was complete however, the overmind assimilated the base commander and learned much of the technology and it wasn't long until it figured out how to send out a fake distress call...
Now, 2 years later a ship that has come to the planet to resupply has recieved the call but unbeknownst to them it is really 2 years old and all of the personnel are long dead. Also they have run out of fuel so they have to land..
Looks like they have fallen for the trap and now its just them versus the aliens, on a frozen world with little left to salvage, its all they can do just to survive...
