You may want to throw down some kind of pre-loader in there. To comment on the graphics, however, in a lot of places they're far too blurry, especially the fonts, it's way too noticeable on those.
Considering the amount of static text that you've used images for, i feel you might need to seriously consider doing this in flash. Not only then can you work in the pre-loader, but i feel you'll be able to drop the hideous number of graphics down to a single file of a fraction of the size. I'm not saying this is what you should do, but you should very seriously consider it. As it stands, even on 512kbit ADSL, it takes too long to load.
