About That "sore Losers" Thread...

This happened on bean-net?!?!?
Frankly, I don't buy it. I'm a regular on that server, and I've never had, nor even witnessed problems with the admins. (Unless you count the fact that they tend to be absent on the times I've been getting on the server lately. So, they aren't there often enough to ban Yolt whenever he comes back again. ) I'm serious about this; I've never seen a problem there, and they are in fact some of the more reasonable admins I've seen. Delwack especially kicks ****. As for them banning people for killing them, I can tell you right off that if this happened at all, there was some other reason. I've personally waxed the admins several times. (Okay, maybe not several. But some. I swear I did! Please believe me!) Not a thing happened to me.

Personally, I'd suspect that the people dissing Bean-net in that other thread are people who have some personal gripe with the place, and what to shame it for some ulterior motive. Wouldn't be surprised if Yolt himself wasn't in there, just to stir things up. We've spotted him coming back several times under different names, but since he hadn't changed his SteamID that time, we knew we had the right guy. He didn't use his hacks, or at least if he did he wasn't obvious about it, but he still had the same spray. One time he spent an entire game just sitting on top of the hive, not doing anything but jumping up and down. And he protested when we finally got the kick vote through his map vote spam, pretending he had no idea what was going on. I'd bet that if there was an incident at all, it was Yolt in one of these fake personas trying to make a scene.

I'm sorry if this seems argumentative or incendiary, but I see something very fishy going on here, and I feel a need to defend the server I spend most of my game time on. This amounts to a personal attack on the admins there, and I don't appreciate it.

As this forum has a strict anti-server-bashing policy, and these threads have a tendency to spin into exactly that, I suggest you take this question to the server's forum or PM the original poster of the other thread about it. I think it would be more productive than the flamewar that is bound to happen.

As an server admin myself, I'd rather take this subject on my own ground (forums or IRC) than here in NS.org, even though it's a nice thing to stick up for your admin and regular server. So take my advice, delete your post -- It will be nothing but a flamy war in here if it sticks

Bistromath, this is just some friendly advice, but it's a really bad idea to restart a topic that has been locked. If the mods don't want people to discuss it, they mean it. I have no interest in the actual topic here but it's really in your best interests not to reopen this discussion.
