Only place I can think to look at the moment is Planet Halflife's mod page. Most games and mods I play are mostly multiplayer, so I wouldn't really know any single players.
I agree Point of View is awsome. Conundrum crashed on me but maybe I should not have put it on Steam
If you can find it get Chemical Existence. Excellent mod, looks a little dated now but it was very good. Azure Sheep is a superb one. You play as a guard (like Blueshift) but it's much longer and, IMO, funner. I don't know if this even exists anymore but USS Darkstar is a brilliant one, made by the same guy as the They Hunger series. It was very scary as well as good. Invasion, a French mod, was pretty good when I played it. There were some very nice effects such as lens flare (I think that's what it is called, the little circles that come up when you shine light directly into a camera) and heat vision in it.
There was a Duke Nukem rip-off. I'll see if I can find it.

Half-Life INVASION Homepage when u get it make sure u have update or else the traslater doesn't work, its kinda hard to play when everyones talking in french and you dont know what theyre saying(exspicially when they're telling u passwords). BTW if you have a LAN system or anything at your house u and your friend/brother/sister/uncle/grandma/whatever need to play this on LAN. Its not made for it but.....
.....just try it lol, me and my friend played it on stalkyard for ever. our sides hurt from laughing so hard. wow it was fun.
Counter-Life pretty cool. its fun to save at certain points and just cheat, then have fun just wasting your enimies
They Hunger-wow roxor, bs OMG h40r. Awsome just awsome.
USS Darkstar- Rad as helll.
thats all the good ones i have installed right now. I've played other ones but not 4 a while so dont remember their names.
Incredible level design, and just plain fun.

Yep. that mod by far is my favorite single player.. the Level design.. weapon quality and just about everything looks friggen awesome.. it has the best graphics for a mod along side Natural-Selection.. the only thing thats a bit of a turnoff is the amazing level design and gfx when you have the regular halflife monsters running around in it.. just seeing a really good level with a degrading alien running in it.. *hurts*
So what you might wanna do is download the mod.. then get some reskinned aliens (high quality ?) and try that.. oh yeah dont worry i did this on my g4 mx420.. and it was still awesome
the pc gamer ones are good (they hunger and uss darkstar) i used to love those 2 sp mods b4 i started online with tfc
It's an awesome mod, but strangely I can't find any up-to-date info on it, possibly the version I found was meant to be a beta? The official site says "Sweet Half-life will be released soon!" and is dated 2002.
It also has two major bugs in it where you need to cheat to progress. Firstly, the intro plays but then you have to type "map shl1.bsp" since the level change doesn't work and secondly there's a scientist who is meant to climb over a table, but doesn't and you need him to activate a retinal scanner. So you have to use noclip to get past the door.
Other than that, it prawns. Play it with the half-life CD in, the music kicks in just when you need it. There are several increadibly cool parts which I won't go into now, just play it.
All the others I was going to suggest have been suggested.

Conundrum isn't bad , though the maps are a bit boxy at times. Very original stuff.
The Challenger Deep is a harder mod from the same team , nasty atmosphere and story.
Also, when it comes out, Nightwatch.
Todesangsts..
Toopsteaks...
...whatever. 1 and 2 are pretty awesome.
There was a Duke Nukem rip-off. I'll see if I can find it.
Just Google any of the mods I have mentioned.
Incredible level design, and just plain fun.
That looks really good! I'm going to try it.

I don't get how They Hunger 2 and 3 are gold, but 1's Silver.... Right.
