1. Do not mention any names of places / ships / people
2. The area has been attacked by the Kharaa for the first time
3. Make it interesting (I have no doubt in that)

It's very very hard to write fiction if you cant name characters or places. Places definantly, whoever writes you this will NEED to name a place. Just suggestions.

Writers need to write about something. Sure, someone could write a background story with no names, but you need to name places and such. It gets very bland after the hundrenth "the room", "room", or "place".

Also, what is the theme of the map going to be? Are you just going to map based on the descriptions of the writings?

It would be mighty helpful if you gave us some specifics about the theme/setting of the map, for example whether it's set on a frozen ice world or on a disabled cargo ship... If someone wrote about a Kharaa infestation spreading via the sewer system it would make no sense on a space station and the whole thing would have to be scrapped. So, please give us some information.

Yup, mine was setted on a huge spaceship the size of a...........city. OK, I know the TSA would NEVER build something so stupid but then its just a story. Since my story is setted on a giant spaceship designed for war, it would be foolish to include Gardens or Merry-go-rounds in the story.
