From my parents: - Mario Kart: Double Dash - Dues Ex 2: Invisible War - A $3 electric toothbruth (WTH?) - A Brita Water Filter replacement filter. - $50 - Reese's Mini-Peanut Butter Cups, all gone now. :)
From my brother, his wife, and his son: - $10.
For me, this Christmas was actually one much more close to the ideals of giving, as the absolute biggest kick I got out of the holiday was watching my friend Stephen be shocked to find that he wasn't given a DVD/Game (unlike the last 5 years) and instead had this big box, and inside it was a NES + 10 games. It just felt nice to give somebody a really, really nice present that while not really much more expensive than what I would have normally gotten him, was just something really special. Oh and we spent all friggin day playing NES games. ALL DAY. It was great. He beat Super Mario Bros. like 4 times in a row :o And we got to -1 Water World again!! :D Old School! :D
Dunno what to do for next year though, as there's no real way to top the gift of an fully restored NES (at least, not for any self-respecting gamer). Maybe a Colecovision? :P
Messed Up stuff I never asked for...nor needed -microsuede (..fake suede) jacket...still looks cool but I have a leather one that looks just like it -6 in 1 classic games thing -Fruit snacks...Nintendo Fruitsnacks...but...wth? Fruit Snacks?! -a felt throw blanket...which I think I lost on my bed somewhere -a puzzle...one of them punch out the pieces and build the wooden dinosaur things
Messed up stuff I did ask for -pencils -headphones -The Best of REM
Games -Operation Flashpoint GOTY edition -Ghost Recon (XBox)...the $20 platinum hits one -Morrowind (Xbox) wrong version, since I already own what she bought, she just likes to get the cheapest games on my list, and buy me stuff I didn't ask for, like ...a fake suede jacket.
Movies -Indiana Jones Trilogy on DVD -The Pianist (...which doesn't work on my DVD player, and needs to be exchanged -End of Evangelion (my first anime DVD...kind of helps my sister was in the store with me)...then I had to explain the backstory to everyone and they still had no idea what was going on...remotely.
-$50 WalMart gift card -$100 check that can't be used yet -...$2
That may seem like quite a lot...but I would have been fine with just SW:KOTOR, Ghost Recon, EoE, The Pianist and the money (...the headphones and pencils couldn't hurt either, need those). It'd be better if my Mom bought a couple $50 games instead of the low rungs on my list. I also have the mixed feelings because she's basically paying for college for me and my sister because...I have no money and my sister just buys clothes.
In fact, I would have been fine spending the $30 on presents for her (...which was everything in my wallet, and what I did do), and her just save the money to help with college. I also feel bad for her because someone got her a Law and Order computer game that her computer wont run. New video card for Mom next Christmas....err, right.
Christmas sucked this year..... I'm having a conflict with my parents, so they weren't in christmas mood. Stayed playing FFX during the whole day of Christmas
Presents: - Pair of shorts (WTH?!?! I hate shorts?!) - 800 bucks (Only good thing in christmas)
My parents say I'm already too old to recieve games...... I'M 15 FOR GOD SAKES!!!
And soon, I'll give myself a chirstmas present...... A Fender Precision Jazz Bass and a pedal (not sure which one still) OR I'll get myself a new computer. Got enough money to buy a DAMN GOOD ONE!!!
What I Got : - Shirts - Hoodie (you know, those sweaters with a hood on em) - Oodles of money
-Optical Mouse -Misc. Clothes -$150 -$200 worth of Gift Cards to Best Buy and FYE -Camping Equipment (Chair, Tent, Lantern) -CSI Game for PC -Madden 2004 for PS2 -Super Mario Brothers Advance for GBA -Model Car Kit -Model Boat Kit -Tons of Candy -Philly Eagles Jersey (#36; Westbrook) -Eagles Hat -Foosball Table (for basement) -Dart Board (for basement) -Snowtube
OK, I think I covered it all. I'm prolly gonna get some people saying that I'm spoiled but I say that I'm just very loved.
//edit: The $150 plus the $200 in gift cards is good for much gaming equpiment.

That would be one of those clocks that calibrates itself daily or something by recieving radio signals from an atomic clock, not an actual atomic clock right?(unless you got some seriously filthy rich friends there )

Yeah it just corrects itself so it's accurate with the atomic clock in Colorado.
