56kr's beware
Basically, I've picked up drawing a month ago with my new supplies I got from my parents and all. I drew this on 14*17 strathmore 400 drawing paper and used 2b and 2h derwent drawing pencils, all tools from my local Michael's. I am usually a dark drawer, meaning I like to use dark strokes, but the reference picture I drew this from was kind of like a soft-palish picture, so I was like screw the dark method, just going to blend or something. So I ripped some cotton and felt from things hehe and blended the face. Anyways, what do you think? I spent around 4 hours on it. I had to teach myself, which sucked. Sorry for the bad quality pictures, as you see, I don't have a scanner, and I am so nub at converting images and etc.

Eyezor:

I left the chest empty cause that would take SO MUCH TIME

I couldn't really take pictures with flash cause the light reflecting off the eyes would make it look teh weird

Wow. Not much to say, cuz there's obvious talent here.

    I'm guessing Nicole Kidman?

wow, you've got some skills. This is great.

One thing lets it down though, It's the hair. I think its because it sorta flings up on both sides, which is strange because it's normally only 1 side that goes up (windy effect). But this isn't a problem, I think its great the way it is.

You're right... it is an Eye Sore.

Might want to re-size it, but flip them please.

    Anyway, good work.

Well in the first one (I'm not a man for realism) it seems that the hair line is too far up. Also her (your) left pupil is larger than the right. Which might be something you want to reverse because it seems that you've drawn it at an angle. If it was at an angle this would make it perspective art, even though it's just a very slight angle. To fix it the left pupil should be slightly smaller than the right, slightly.

The second picture is a repeat of the first, but in a larger format right? So we can see the rest of your face? Well the same goes for the eyes in that one.

As for picture editing and resizing, you can do both in the Gimp. There's a way to edit out all the background noise, in your case the brown tan all over the paper. Which would leave us with your drawing alone ^__^

If you've only been drawing a month, I am thoroughly impressed. It's soo pretty! ::melts::
