A Dilemma...

<div class="IPBDescription">involving UT2k3</div> Basically, I bought this like 5 months ago, probably played it for a month, then shelved it. Now that RO is out, I went to reinstall this. Install was humming along fine until it sput out my disc talking about how dirty it was. So I went downstairs to clean it in the sink when I slipped on some transparent box on the stairs and crushed the disc in half with my hands.

So now what do I do! I'm not paying 30$ for a game I already own because that would be silly. Is there some sort of thing I can do where I send it the broken disc and they send me a new one, free of charge (minus shipping)? Or must I dely in the jarez? No, I'm not asking anyone to send it to me. Just asking if there's something I can do.

You should call up the publisher and see if you can't get a replacement disc.

You: "2 days ago I called and asked about getting a new game disc."
Support: "It's on its way."
You: "The UPS guy just showed up and shot a rocket at my feet."
Support: "Oh, and you're not fragged ?"
You: "No."
Support: "You sure ? Check for gibs."
You: "Nope, no gibs."
Support: "Well we'll send another rocket your way."
You: "I don't want a rocket, I want a new disc."
Support: "Oh, this is the rocket warehouse. You need to call product support."
You: "Why didn't you mention that before."
Support: "We're bored."


And the moral of the story is, ut2k3 is teh sux.

If you must, just wait for UT2K4 which will be out soon. It has all the content of UT2K3 plus a whole lot more.

Actually, it DOESN'T have all the content. It doesn't have UT2k3's maps. Otherwise, same thing.

I stepped on a damned cloaked box, I swear to god! Just about broke my ankle on the landing too. =/

But alas, I indeed will be buying a new copy tomorrow. Such a pain for such an average game. I just want the danged mods.

I think for around $10, they'll send a replacement. But I don't know if that company does it.
