<div class="IPBDescription">See Above</div> Since the U2 Marine thread was closed (I somehow lost interest in it anyway) I decided to start making it into an NS replacement, and once that is done, I'll do it for Sven-Coop 3.0. The reason I asked for the HIT thread to be locked was because at first, I was going to incorporate it in one of the mods I worked for, so it became "leaked mod material" and I needed the thread to be inaccesible. Since I changed my mind, I guess I it wouldn't matter if I posted it now. The textures are indeed not from HL2, well they are, but I didn't extract the textures (I have no idea how to decompile the new .mdl files) Most of the textures are courtousey from E3 videos, and they are all crappy jpegs, blah blah blah. Textures are just a placeholder. I am very flattered though that you guys thought my MP5K was the HL2 one, it isn't by a long shot. It was my very first attempt at weapon modeling every, and it was given a photo skin. I'll post here the crappy Comebine Soldier model I made, no textures though, because they suck too much (so does the model) if anyone wants to play with this, please feel free. I have made several attemps at the helmet but with no luck (with anything under 7k polys) Yes I know the model is full of holes, yes I know it sucks, blah blah blah, shut your pieholes, all those people that don't know how to model, please shut-up. If you don't have anything useful to say, don't say anything at all on my thread. I don't care what you do on the rest of the forums. I temporary stuck hit on the playstation two human grunt skeleton, because it is the one I am most familiar with. The vertices were just crappily bound just to give the modelor an idea of what is going on. If someone does decide to take a stab at this, seriously, they can ask me for the semi crappy textures.

    I don't believe, in a million years, that you made that from scratch, and stealing the HL2 textures is dumb, don't do it pal

    Giant joints bad for eyes. Make them 0.005 to make em easier.
    Go to File>Preferences>Misc

    Also, why don't you just have someone remesh it for you. Make a skin from scratch

    note: i just took screenshots from the hl2 hlmv, i have no idea how to use valve hammer if my life depended on it, i don't know what you guys are smoking, i'll even post a zip with all the textures that it uses exactly!

    if you unzip them in the same folder as the .ms3d, they should all go on. hev glove chrome should be sphere mapped.

    all you morons who think this is stolen, sit down, and shut the hell up for once, and enjoy a half decent attempt at an hl2 model remake.

    so it seems the HL2 rendering engine is not that great since the textures are actually the photo kind. or at least the shading on these models is faked probably to conserve rendering speed. maybe later on they will do a high definition pack that uses proper bump, gloss, specular, etc maps for every model. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->

    sorry i just think that it is not right what u are doing here

    u infact HAVE the leaked (illegal) version if hl2 and since the models on ur modpage are also rips its very hard to believe u made it.

    dont u get it ripping the model and textures and altering them a bit here and there adding/removing some polys is no problem at all

    y dont u come up with something unique u made by yourself so that we little morons (u like to call us that way) can see that u really know what ur doing.

    Its not the hl2 model. i got the model and he gave me the textures. That is truley the base model texture.
    heres another texture. the models has holes in it some. And the textures are streched. Not like the pro way if it was indeed the hl2 model. So thus proves he is inocent i have the texture cordinator.

    heres another thing that proves he is innoccent and this is just a big miss understandment. Been scanning the model. And vulah look what i found hehehe. I bet Fury_161 didnt notice this. So there case solved. He didnt steal anything. Maybe he is just a very good modeller.

    As you can see, the Mp5k that Sheena showed us was black. The MP5k that Fury made was more blue.

    I know, there is reason to be suspicious, but still.

    a) yes the textures are just Print Screens of the model
    b) no the model is not stolen, it is 100% from scratch
    c) if the model really was stolen (which it aint cuz its too crappy) then why is there no helmet? do you think im stupid? its just strange that you guys are so unappreciative of this model, which i busted my arse on.
