    This used to happen to me, i think your biggest problem is aiming it, what I find helps is to point the tip of the horn at their knees sorta, so just look at their knees and then try, also Iv heard couching helps aswell but I havent tried that.

    Try and get the marine in the lower center of screen then fire. I find that works well.

    you need to aim it so that the tip of your horn is just below the chest, or if you are crouching, it should be level with the chest.

    I believe there is a minimum range for devour (have you ever tried eating something on your neck?) so dont stand too close.

    Yeah, try crouching. And you don't have to be exactly right next to the guy, devour has a big range.

    its like knifing in cs. you dont really have to be real close to em. and aim at the cr o tch. it works. and looks kinky <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Don't press yourself against them, that seems to actually cause you to miss more often than not. Aim rougly at them with the center of the screen(the tip of the horn is slighly below the center). You can snag them from quite a distance(you can install bots, set their teams damage to something really low and practice devouring them if you really can't figure it out in-game).

    Devour actually has an infinite vertical range, so dont get cocky when u are jetpacking.

    FYI.

    I never knew that you could use devour at an infinite virtical range..
    that seems a bit unfair,
    btw, can you devour more than 1 person at a time?
    never tried, and hant had a chance yet. (just started playing 3 days ago)

    devour pissses people off <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> thats what i love a bout it.

    <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo--> charge into a group of <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif'><!--endemo-->s and <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo--> 1 person and run off.
    the person should cove rthe health you lost, plus i use regen usualy when im onos, though ive heard that redemp is good for it, since u dont want to loose the res that u used up for it.
    Just do that over and over into the same group of people until you wipe them out. Funny.

    there really is no need to take any precautions with stomping, all it takes is good timing,
    unless you have doubts, dont waste your time.

    Maybe against one person... but even then why not stomp?

    Try that on a group of HA with HMGs and you're gonna be screwed.

    oh for the love of whatever is holy, DONT USE REDEMPTION.

    Not only is it crap because 9/10 times you will die b4 it kicks in, but when you redeem you loose whoever you devoured.
    Either way its a waste
    Stick with regen and celerity, you cant go wrong

    It all depends on the situation. Last night on a long game we had around 9 redempt onos because if we didn't have redempt you would get blocked and die. We died hardly ever. If you aren't that great/or getting to learn using the onos you should get redempt to, cause you don't want all that res going bye bye because you don't know what you are doing.

    I agree with Extreme, redemption really relies alot on the map and what and how rines are using their weapons eg: coordinated shotty blasts etc.

    I never crouch as onos to devour its a waste of time, aim at chest go for mid range i spose and shoot. It is forgiving if you know your distances.
