<div class="IPBDescription">A question within.</div> No, no. I have played the beta lerkflight model. I love it to death.
What I was wondering was if anyone would be interested in viewing a demo of the model itself. Screenshots do little justice.
HOWEVER. The major problem is thus: Will a 3.0 beta demo work for your piddly 2.0? I don't know. Therefore, I ask the community if it will.. and if it does, I shall post a demo of the lerkflight model.

Em, well.
No.
BUT I can convert it to AVI.
But that requires me to be able to run the demo.
Agh.
One of us (*holds chest up high, and falls backwards*) will take care of it <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
w00t 200 posts...
Give me a minute or two, I might have another solution.
Download the DiVx codec from www.divx.com
alright then, let me explain what we can do from step 1, off the top of my head.
Alrighty then. Step one. download SKplayer from <a href='http://www.schroet.com/skplayer/' target='_blank'>http://www.schroet.com/skplayer/</a>
alright, open up skplayer.
Theres a field for "Demo File", so go ahead and select it.
Right above the play button is 3 checkboxes. check the box that says startmovie.
Ok in path to executable put your hl exe.
in cmd line options, put -console -game ns
ok STEP 2.
Hit Play. NS will start and will be playing the demo, but the demo fps will be going slowm and your pc working hard. This is because the startmovie cmd is on (its a hl command) and it takes pictures of the game, until demo stops.
Ok once demo is done playing thorough, exit HL.
Step 3. Download VideoMach.
I think the link is www.videomach.com
Anyways once its installed, open it.
alright, once its there will be a folder icon to the left, above a message saying imput video list empty or something.
click on the folder, and then goto the ns directory.
There will be ALOT of bmps there depending on how long the demo was, but still alot.
use shift to select them all, and hit ok.
From here you can edit frames out. you might want to edit out parts where theres a standstill, since its going slower.
you might also edit out the HL screen.
anyways, once your done editing, click on the floppy disk to the right of the folder you recently clicked on.
ok once thats open click on the bar labelled format and selected .avi, and above that tab you can select where to save it.
ok click on the video tab. Click on format options.
Select the Divx codec and hit ok. then hit ok again.
Alright its compiling into AVI.
Congradulations, theres your AVI.
Easier that way.
But Wow a 10 min vid! Holy ****.
unless it wasnt recorded in halflife, and some 3rd party program was used, that much bmps would take like.... 30 gigs probaly, maybe 20 or 40.
Whoa. ten minutes. <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

solution 2:
get fraps run it view the demo press f9 when it starts press f9 again when it stops, open videomach set codec up, import the file and compress.
I looked at the demos I recorded, and it only got the lower left portion of my screen, so the view is off a bit. And there's no sound, so you can't tell when I flap (To gain speed).
But the reticule in the center should give you a good idea of where I was pointing, and I only flap a few times to take off (Flapflap!, then silence) and twice at the bottom of my "dive".
The actual movement would be a lot better, but I was limited to like, 15 FPS or something, which made it rather difficult to fly around. Rather, not to fly, but to TURN to fly. You get the idea.
Edit: I have a nice video that SOMEWHAT demonstrates it.. but I'd rather not post it since it'd be hammered pretty hard.
AND it's 60 megs. It'd take an hour or twelve just to upload it.
If anyone has webspace they wouldn't mind sacrificing, we could work something out. Otherwise, it's a no go. Sorry, guys.
but, you need to record the sound yourself.
neither record the sound for you.

Fraps specifically states that it would record sound, but as I said, the demo version is teh sux. And I'm not paying 30 bucks for a version of software I'll probably only use once, if ever.
... much cheaper...

As i said in another thread if the first host don't work or are slow look at the other pages, i think ther is some other hosts there.

I've coughed it up. The full version is great. 30 FPS video with decent sound. But as ?ethTheMedic said, you need a TONN of disk space. Granted, I have 200 gigs, so it's not an issue, but a 10 min video uncompressed with sound will run you a good 50 GB's
The only thing I lack is decent webspace to host something like that.
Contact me I put out cheap reliable service <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I HAVE webhosting, it's just difficult to upload, since my upload blows.
