Infinitum and Gem., i know you guys can
Ok, I live in the states, and have very little experience in Anime, but have really liked what i've seen so far. (cowboy bebop, trigun, gundam, dbz, blue gender), and you guys in OT are always raving about other series i have never heard of. Is there somewhere I can 'aquire' either through downloading or purchasing(I realize posting info on the dowloading part is against forum rules, so please PM it to me if you can) good anime dubbed or sub-titled in english, and can you please suggest some stuff for me. as far as i know, amazon.com has lots of DVDs at good prices, and most of these have options for dubbing and subbing. if you've only got akira, there's a lot of good anime you can check out at amazon.com, before you have to go to other places for really obscure anime.
Try these...
AKIRA[Movie]
Ninja Scroll[Movie]
Princess Mononoke[Movie]
Ghost in the Shell[Movie, pretty boring, but worth the mention]
Wait until the "cool guys" come, they'll bring their lists.
so much anime, what kind of genre do you prefer?
I live in scotland so retail locations in the states aren't my specialty I'm afraid =s
If you want good prices on anime go to either of these stores:
Rightstuf
DVDPacific
Rightstuf focuses just on anime, whereas DVDPacific stocks everything.
As for other stuff. Use the links in my sig. That's all I will tell you.
Also, as right now was the first time going there even for me, I see they have LOTS of types of anime.
