Very Serious Computer Tech Problem

<div class="IPBDescription">Help Needed!</div> Ok well my computer has been all of a sudden turning off all of a sudden without giving error messages. So i open up my computer, which was custom built, and I notice that the power supply cable and the connector to the motherboard has soemthing wrong with it. 2 of the little square insertions on the cable have a brownish discoloring on them and 1 of the things is slightly brown. There is no residue from where the metal itself has melted away, but the plastic part is discolored. Upon my own conclusions, my computer has an overheating problem where i promptly used an air duster to clear off the fans and the power source itself. It seems to have worked so far. The questions I am asking is (1) What is causing the brownish discoloring? (2) Would cleaning it with an electronic cleaning solution help? (3) Is it the power supply's fault? (4) The power supply is less than a year old and brand new. Would the company be held accountable for the loss of the motherboard as well as the power supply? Thank you!
