<div class="IPBDescription">small combat map.</div> Well, after ulysses, i wanted to do another combat map, but this time smaller. The idea is basically to have 3 rooms: Hive, MS and central choke point. 2 ways out/in hive MS to CCP each and thats it. Then add some vents to have a 2º way to the hive/MS. Ive managed to complete maybe 70% of the map already, just need to do the hive, RR and vents.
Lets hope i can finish it soon.

Keep the darkness in there would make for some very intense and scary action.

The running theme of the red lights re-instates the darkness yet in an evil sense.

thx for the comment guys, i just need to do the hive (which ill do next weekend, got an exam this thursday) and add vents.
About the layout, <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> , just imagine 3 rooms in a row, connected both at the sides with the one in the middle by 2 corridors each. some vents and thats it. Im aiming for a really small and intense map.
Great idea of small compact surroundings, and surprisingly not really encorporated into many maps..not to the degree that this is looking <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
The smaller the map, the more the tense and paranoid state of gameplay is increased.
Cant wait to play this

Man I wish I knew how to map that good. I like the idea of just three rooms, and one room where all the action takes place. I'm gonna try that...like, right now.

The thing is though, VHE, like many things, consumes alot of time.
Its not exactly an exciting program..and can sometimes almost seem to be against you and your map....anyone else ever got that feeling? <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
one thing: when you have that curving hallway, the floor grate texture very jarringly gets cut off at an angle (pic #4). Can you put a small border at each corner so it looks like the grates aren't running together?
gl_texturemode GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_LINEAR is alllll you need to fix it people!!!!
btw DrunkenMonkey, where did you test co_ether?
