shouldnt the skulk view change when on walls/roofs? i think it would be cool, wolud make things a little harder though, and i dont know if the hl engine would allow it. what do you guys think?

It has, and it was tried, and rejected, because disorienting people isn't fun.

It was tried but the view would "bump" whenever the skulk went over ridges or stuff like that. So the only option if you wanted to have this added would be to have maps with plain flat walls.

Doing it to other people is fun. It's when you do it to yourself that things become un-fun.

It was pretty cumbersome to me in the AvP series so I'd say no.

It would be cool the first time you play it. Then it would just be annoying. And yeah, spinning people is fun.

It is possible by the HL engine, but it's not really fun, for the reasons stated. For the example, why don't you just imagine what would happen in a vent if you moved around a bit

It could be a client option, but that would be too much of a detail to be actually cared about. If it was put on by default, people who have it off would be seen as exploiters. If off by default, no-one would turn it on for anything more than to try it out/atmosphere. It's much more friendly to have it NOT change around. Try AvP2 (I havent tried the 1 so can't say)

I stopped playing as Aliens in AVP2 because of the HIGHLY ANNOYING(!!) camera rotation.

It would make it more "realistic", but when running at marines I usually use walls to my advantage, and it would totally screw me up if my view was changing from sideways to straight to sideways.
