Should The Skulk View Change When On Walls?

Normally I would have phased this thread straight to Ideas & Suggestions. But since it wasn't suggesting so much as asking for all of our opinions, and because I'm curious, we now have this poll.

    NO!

This here is the exact reason playing as an Alien in AVP2 was an excercise in frustration. Unless you wanted to be confused and turned around constantly, you'd have to stay on the ground and have a much harder time against Marines and Predators. It wouldn't add any immersion. It would just result in lots of frustration and people no longer playing early-game Aliens.

It would make it more "realistic", but when running at marines I usually use walls to my advantage, and it would totally screw me up if my view was changing from sideways to straight to sideways.

if view was changed i bet you all 10$ that marines would win 98% of the games, people would be so **** seeing how the alien u play as 85% of the game sometimes 100 is at a HUGE disadvantage thus Ns would lose members of the community out of frustration. i played AVP2 on multiplayer and with lag+ view changing on walls it made me want to punch someone in the face, but i looked at my WWJS bracelet and didnt.. i thought what would he do? so i burnt the head programmer of the game and sent him to hell

its a toggle guys.....that means you can choose if you wish to use it or not. I'm not bothered either way.

Ok, there was a command that let you do this for a while and it was great fun to use. But it was taken off and now it won't work.

Anyway, I think you should add into the yes box of the poll. Yes, but make there an option to turn it off if you don't want it. This way everybody's happy.

This idea of a toggle is already built into the question itself. Editing the poll now would erase the current results and start from scratch. (It's a feature made so that I can't suddenly change the question to something like "How Much Does Coil's New Apartment Rock?!?" and change the answers accordingly).

If there was a toggle there would be no poll. Toggle = if you don't like it turn it off, thus problem solved. There would be no reason to vote no if there was a toggle.

ONLY if it was not an option, and mandatory.

I'm not bothered. I personally probably wouldn't use it (i'd try it to see what it was like, but turn it off probably), but i know there's people out there wanting it, so why not? But again, i'm not really bothered.

No, they are asking if it is worth coding in. If no-one is going to use it, why bother?

best to ask first. hence the poll.

No. The "cool" effect would soon become tedious, would add nothing to the gameplay, and would actually be harder for the surfaces with multiple planes.

If im not mistaken in the latest build Flayra took out cl_pitchup/down which does the same thing... wouldnt it be exploitable just as he said pitchup and down was?

No, but it is a good idea to have it as an toggleable (dunno if that´s a word) option, i dont like it cos in AvP it makes me dizzy and confused but the fact that a lot of ppl want to have it makes the option that u can do it a good thing.

sorry 'bout my bad english, it´s been awhile since i typed anything in english

Why are you starting a poll on a topic like this? Max already told us before that "skulk view rotating" on walls was horrible for gameplay!

Mmmkay, based on several of the posts above, I think I should be apologizing for bringing this up. Note to self: don't start another poll for just curiosity's sake. Locked.
