<div class="IPBDescription">i think is the temp</div> My Problem: After a non-specific amount of time, NS crashes. the problem started when summer started here, ish.
My specs: MSI KT4 ultra, athlon xp 1700+, 512 ram, 80gb WD high performance drive, SBlive Gold soundcard, Geforce 4 mx440 graphic card on Windows XP pro.
another interesting thing, is that as soon as ns crashes i check my cpu temperature with "MSI pc alert" and it always reads 50 or 51... as if getting that hot made NS crash, and other games too.
could it be because of reaching 50° CPU temp?
Thanks <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

here?
Its winter atm, mind telling us how long this has been going on (days? weeks? months?)
define 'Crash' (crash to desktop, computer restarts, error msg? anything?)
IF you CPU overheats (I don't know what temps are to hot honestly) your MoBo should shut off the computer, not just kill your programs.
and whats an MSI KT4 Ultra? (MoBo?)
50 degrees isnt really hot.. (F or C?)
Did you check the vents on the comp to see if they are unblocked..
Try running with the case cover off to see if that helps (It might pay to clean the inside of the comp)
the crash is to desktop.
MSI KT4 ultra is my motherboard.
50° degrees C° off course, and i noticed is not too hot, but i dont know why this happens.
i tried opening the case, i even put a "room fan" shooting inside my open case, it lowered the system temp, but not the CPU temp.
I'm thinking about changing the standard issue AMD cooler for a Thermaltake one with more power; but i want to be certain it will help
thanks guys
And does it same anything abnormal in console?
