Controversial idea, I know, but one that I couldn't help but wonder about.

That would be illegle, and would probly anger VALVe to the point of no return that the "great and mighty" NS Dev team would do such evil things as that.

Stuff can/might still be changed in HL2, and the dev team would never do it. Not the best post, I agree, but it's different than playing the pirated copy in the idea that it would encourage sales.

When HL2 comes out and it has a few mods for it a few months down the pipe, it would encourage sales during the release and down the road.

Again, controversial, but it wouldn't hurt the buyer to know that not only do I get HL2 for fifty bucks, but in a few short months NS2 will be available.

I know that it won't happen to NS, but I'm sure there a few modders out there doing it, whether you think its good or bad.


Edit: Yea, about the avatar, I can't help but wonder if they're doing a little red riding hood thing, with the wolf: "My what big balls you have!"

Back on topic, the problem with working on a pre-release thing is that, that is what it is, prerelease. Stuff may change before the final release and that could render before hand work useless. And again, you would be talking about dealing with illegal stuff here, it would just be an unnessary risk for little prize.

humm... didn't the dev say they weren't holding any plans to move to HL2.
