What and where is it i need to type to get rid of those pop up boxes?

    I've done that many times, and while during the game, it doesn't do it, 5-10 games later (after closing and starting it back up again that is) the help will start back up

    its not tat bad anyway, and sometimes your nowhere near a OC and it says this is a offense chamber, so you know to be on your awares,

    Cl_autohelp 0 gets rid of the majority of the things that come up on the screen but there will always be other messages that will come up stating facts for something. You do learn to ignore it.

    There are always some popups (such as "Too many structures of this type nearby.". You cannot get rid of those.
    However, if the help popups stay (like the weapon descriptions, etc), open your config.cfg, add 'cl_autohelp 0', save, close, rightclick the config.cfg, click properties, and put a check in the box that says "Write Protection".
