Hello.
There seem to be some sort of randomness to the search function on this board -- some times it returns a result (or no result), while other times it returns a 404. I use the latest IE, disabled Google popup blocker, and turned off firewall (XP firewall actually conflicts with some JavaScript usage, thought it could be it). Any other suggestions?
It seems like the forum uses an obscure form of redirecting after performing the search itself.

The box at the bottom is decidedly more reliable
(i know that doesnt actually answer your question, but at least it helps you get round the problem)
it is simply that invision boards search funtion is severly screwy, I have never had any problems with it (I use IE also)
Basicaly what it would take to fix it might compleatly break the boards (thus the admins don't do it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)
and as said, use the box at the bottom and it works so much better <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
