The purpose of the constellation is not to get 3.0betas, but to support the dev team.
And you can always send them money. o.0
And 3.0 will not be released tomorrow.

3.0 is, and will be Steam only. So if you want to play the new version, you have to use steam. However, I think joev was doing something about a WON version just for testing (or was that linux).

I dont see any reason to why that would not work
but won is going down as soon as valve thinks steam is stable enough in anyway

You can have steam and normal HL installed (so you can play on won) simultaneously. Just be sure not to click the "convert to steam" dialog box in the steam installl.

The won server for 3.0 that was mentioned was for testing a server performance bug which was fixed, 3.0 servers are all steam. Won will be gone sometime soon ... but no one knows when, only valve knows.

Always remember that your $20 (or more if you can afford it) is a donation to the developers. This money helps them pay the bills while they continue to develop this great mod. The privledge of being able to beta-test 3.0 was given to the constellation members by the dev team and as such is theirs to continue or terminate at any time.

A sticky would be lovely.

Donating just to get the beta is a poor reason to do it, but the end result is the same, Flayra get more money and we get NS development continued.

You guys should read my speaches on being Proud to be a CM. They are all over the place.

I just donated my $20 earlier but forgot to include my forum name in the message... so is their something that will automatically redirect them to my forum name so this account will get CM forum access? Or do I have to PM someone telling them that I forgot?

Don't worry about not including your forum name. All the details you'll need to join the CM forum will be included in your email. If something doesn't work then you'll have to send an email reply to remedy any problems. Hope to see you on the CM forums soon.
