Perfect for getting rid of the floppy!
I found this website while I was figuring out how to fresh install XP onto a SATA drive on my brand-spankin-new Athlon 64 3000+ (Woohoo!).
Any way, read through the thread and it will tell you how to have SP1 install instantly with XP, any drivers you may want (esp. SATA drivers so you don't have to use the damned floppy for install), and any other Windows updates.

http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8892

I only added my SATA drivers to mine, but it worked like a dream.

I was determined not to install an ugly, slow floppy on my pretty new machine.

Enjoy!

I went through a did this a while back using my own cd-key, it sure takes alot of the hassle out of formatting or reinstalling windows not having to worry about 6 floppy disks working, net to mention it reads the startup stuff from the disk MUCH faster than from the floppy.

edit: Doom, this is basicly a disk that allows your to skip putting in all 6 of the bootup disks for windows xp whenever you need to format or reinstall. It does this by copying the data from the floppy boot disks and putting them on the cd.

Doom, you put your own cd key in there so that you dont have to type it when installing. its a heckuva lot easier if yorue going to use that cd a couple times.
