Also, I've stated in one public interview and about a dozen threads that it owes a lot of its look to the H&K OICW. I've made no efforts to keep its influences a secret.
Also, there were several threads about how I was changing it because I was uncomfortable with how much it resembled the H&K OICW.

Sure, Bathroom Monkey has been influenced by many bits and pieces here and there, but it's not like he's ever tried to hide it.
"The LMG side-load clip looks a lot like the *insert gun name here* from DoD."
"Well, the design of the gun is heavily influenced by the guns from that World War II era. I always liked the look of side-load clips."
As any respectable artist, Monkey wants to create something original, but, as with any respectable artist, is influenced by what he knows in real life, and with other artists.
Man, I'm using a lot of words to say nothing at all.

BTW, HMG:
OICW Attached.
Really, the only real similarites are a stocky bullpup dsign, with what looks like 2 barrels...
And I thought i saw a pic to go with one of the heavy armor renders, with the HMG looking a little more M60-ish than OICW-ish.

And here's some more food for thought:
were more or less Frankenstein-esque constructions of EXISTING weapons. Imagine that!

All art is inspired from one thing or another. The mona lisa is not a "copy" of some other portrait, because it has some similarities. I am getting prtty tired of watching Bathroom Monkey have to defend himself. He is easily one of, if not the most, accomplished weapons modeler in this Mod Community, and possibly over a large area (though this Mod community is basically the only little corner of Games I'm involved in).
errr...
