A Game I Played

Just wanted to share
I played a game yesterday, and it was very interesting, in my opinion. The map was caged, there were about 8 players on each team, I was alien, and we started at Generator hive. The first thing I do is go to double res room. Before I even get inside, a marine shoots at me from the other end of the corridor. I get inside, and I parasite him when he enters, but he ends up killing me. I go back one more time, but I just die again. Since the comm was medspamming like crazy, I decide that I should just go and cap a res node. So I go to Ventilation hive.

At Ventilation hive, I put up a D chamber and the res node. I think this puts us at 3 res nodes, compared to 4 for the marines. Between placing the d chamber and the res node, another gorge placed the hive. At this point we realize there are marines coming from shipping tunnel, so I throw up an OC. Three marines come in off the elevator, and me and the other gorge heal-spray them to death. When the hive is almost done, we discover that marines are building up sieges on the other side of ventilation hive. We get some help in there. The marines take out the rt and the two dc's I put up, but the hive stays up. At about this point someone puts up sewer hive.

The marines tried siegeing out ventilation hive 3 times, each time killing the res node, but never killing the hive. What amazed me the most is that throughout the game, the marines had more res nodes than us, or at least as many (the count was always 3v2, 3v3, or 4v3). Also, at some point after all three hives were up, I was gorge, and someone asked for another d chamber and m chamber. I got SOF and realized we only had two s chambers, also. So, 15 minutes into the game, and we had 2 of each upgrade chamber. We also hadn't had any fades or onos (I checked the scoreboard periodically and didn't see any). We finally got all the upgrade chambers, then we pushed marines back, then took out double res and wiped out their base.

This probably isn't written very well written, but the biggest points I wanted to make are in the last paragraph.

Hehe, I played that game. I was the other gorge that heal sprayed those 3 to death
And later got a 4+ xeno kill when they were trying to siege Vent for the umpteenth time. It was a good game.

(I know, no real point to any of this.)

Because it's nice to hear stories of people's battles, usually more in depth, but still...

Actually, the point was that we had all three hives, and only two of each upgrade chamber, plus no fades or onos up to that point. Something I never expected to see. Not much of a point, but that was it.

And I remember that 4-xeno kill.

So the marines tried to use fast expansion techniques instead of upgrades and lost because of it.

Had your team teched up, then you would have won a lot sooner. By tech, I mean fades.
