3.0 Progress..?

i cant even tell if 3.0 is progressing anymore, some person has gone and restricted/locked up the constellation forum so people of the pub cant see whats going on.
so i come to this, let the PUB only VIEW whats going on at the beta, so we at least know that its being progressed and can get a glimpse of whats to come. When i say VIEW, i mean just VIEW, and not be able to post, so we dont get n00bs posting in those important forums...
right now, its taking wayyyy too long for 3.0 to come out, why not release its current build as a "public beta" and at least we can all pitch him and help the beta.
since only vet's pt's and clans are playing the 3.0, only pros get input on the game, n00bs dont get any say in all this. SO basically, 3.0 is going to be optimized for pro's, and very unhelpful for n00bs (just looking at logic)
yeah i know theres the constellation thing, but frankly, i have NO idea how long the line is to sign up for that, (i read somehwere that it was 2 months) assuming it IS 2 months, whod want to wait that long to beta test it...itd probably be released by then...i hope
i myself am starting to get tired of all this waiting, and not seeing any proof of progress...
*edit* when i mean n00b's, i dont mean suggestions like "OMG OMG PUT TEH BFG!!1!!!" i mean suggestions that make NS more n00b friendly and not based around having to have LEET SKILLZ. So most anybody of this community would have fun, and not just pros.

Right now, im just hoping Flayra or any of the big people see this, and at least consider letting the pub view the conts. forums.
the incentive to joing constellation would be that you helped in the development in NS, and you get to beta, as for the forum, we want to see how 3.0 is progressing, and i dont think "being able to post in the const. forum" is a very good incentive anyway...

I'm not going to try to argue about "proof of progress" with this post, but I do need to clear up some things.
1: Do you mean the Beta Discussion forum, or the Constellation forum? If you do mean that the Constellation forum was the one "restricted/locked up," then this may be new to you: the Constellation forum always has been. If people are able to see it without being in the Constellation program, then there's some problems we/I need to look into. If you mean Beta Discussion should be turned into read-only again instead of being hidden: it's certainly possible to make it read-only again, but will require that we first look through every thread made since the "veiling" to filter out ones containing something that should still be kept out of the public eye (such as passwords for IRC channels, downloads, scrim servers, you get the idea.)
2: The vet program is no longer only available to top-ranking clans in professional leagues. Anyone willing to scrim regularly can create a clan/squad/whatever with their friends and join the vet program. Anyone not interested in such structure can, as you say, join the Constellation program. Casual players get their fair share of input, and anyone of any skill level who provides feedback to help 3.0's progress is welcome to do so.
well, honestly, i know 2.0 was delayed, but come on, this was planned for release on HALLOWEEN, and we cant even see progress on it. For all we know, they could be prancing around drinking mountain dew or sumthin.(just a joke) but i just wanna be able to see progress without having to hear it from a secondary source. If it wasnt for the playertesters themselves, we really wouldnt know much more about combat than what the front page says, we wouldnt know about grenades or anything like that. We wouldnt know much at all actually.
Oh I forgot to say : STOP ASKING FOR 3.0 FFS

These not only give you a idea of whats actually going on in ns 3.0, but it also shows you the strats that the good clans use to win. Good luck finding the demos and for the love of god please stop asking for 3.0.

There is no progress in 3.0 as far as I'm concerned. If you hadn't been able to tell from my recent posts in the screenshot thread or this one, Flayra has continually balanced higher alien evolutions according to combat, and not vanilla NS. So unless something is done.. MASSIVELY done, NS3.0 won't be out anytime soon. So stop whining.</span>

And the reason why 3.0 isn't going to be rushed is 1) devs want a nice long vacation and 2) 2.0's launch was less than spectacular.

So what does this mean? Another pseudo delay? Anyone?
The dev team wont be so amateurish to only optimise ns for the pros so i wouldnt worry.
Regardless. There have been a number of annoying bugs that have cropped up here and there, including some features that exposed measures of imbalance once they were working properly. It's a GOOD sign that the next version is supposedly focussing on the NS balance, rather than NS:C... it means that Flayra is confident that the bugfixes are slowing down to the point that balancing can begin. Balancing and final shake are the last steps before a release, but there's no telling how long they will take (after all, 2.0 was rushed due to the announced release date) until a completed release is ready to go, <i>properly</i>.
In general, there are a few people who post the recent changelogs here in Gen Disc. IIRC, they are posted in the Public Beta Forum as well.
The key words here are patience, and <span style='color:red'>*LOCKED.*</span>
