<div class="IPBDescription">combat map</div> I have decided to release a public beta of my combat map.
I know none of us has a copy of the 3.0 server files, so the objective is for you to give me feedback about how you like my map, find bugs, and the usual. This is the same combat map as the thread i statred earlier.
The map and picutres should be availible <a href='http://us.f1f.yahoofs.com/bc/3faa0618/bc/ns/new+co+map/new+com+map+zip+1-14-03.zip?BC_vCCABdQ9lazWE' target='_blank'>here.</a>
Becasue this is a yahoo briefcase and not actual web space the link is dynamic and will probably change. If so, you can also get the map by going to <a href='http://briefcase.yahoo.com/brunjes@ameritech.net' target='_blank'>http://briefcase.yahoo.com/brunjes@ameritech.net</a>, looking in the ns folder, and then in the "new co map" folder.

Some little ****
-Omnipresent ambient sound - it seems you have one ambient sound effect repeated accross the whole level. Go for some variation
-No info_locations - name those babies, would'ya?
-Super - fast opening doors. You have some doors on there that basically disappear when you run into them, and reappear about 2 seconds later. Very odd. Slow those babies down
-You have a holographical lift button that you can walk through and that has no back just sitting in midair <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> That is high - tech!
- Most of your doors and lifts make no sound. Choose some sounds for them - makes them much more authentic.
I really like your containment screens. There doesn't seem to be any reason why the other screens on the other paths out of the hive are not working. May I suggest that the aliens have to destroy wire boxes inside the airlock, and when destoyed the fields dissappear (i.e you put fields on all the doorways and aliens can disable them. Alternatively, put them on all the doorways, but with sparking boxes (which is why they don't work) and use func_illusionary with distort / fade render effects - because that would look cool.
Other than that, I don't have much in the way of direct comments. Good work.
